Tibet House and ICT
Special thanks to two awesome people!
This week I met with Ganden Thurman at the Tibet House, which works to promote Tibetan culture. Last week I went to a great dharma lesson there from Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche. Tibet house has a great directory of Tibetan businesses, artists, organizations and more both on their website, and at Tibet House. Today, they added ITTA, the Hope Center, and Built on Respect to their directory! (www.TibetHouse.org)
Also, I need to talk about ICT. International Campaign for Tibet works tirelessly to get news and bring it to public attention. On the past trip to Dharamsala, I had the pleasure of meeting the LOVELY Kate Saunders, their PR Director. Kate is unlike anyone I have ever met, she is a fountain of information, but she seems to know everyone, and everything – their job, their family situation — she truly cares, it is amazing!
There are several projects that Kate has suggested I work on while I’m in Dhasa this time. I am flattered and honored that she has asked — I will tell you more as I can!
Oh, and the icing on the cake, Built on Respect is now in ICT’s top friends on MySpace – may not sound like a lot, but for me being such a ‘new comer’ to supporting this movement, it really means the world!
Later today I’ll be posting some items on eBay, the lovely Richard Kruspe of Rammstein fame signed 25 of his solo CDs for me today – if you haven’t heard EMIGRATE, you should certainly check it out, it is a GREAT album!
