Giving Work With SamaSource

In 2009, Built On Respect introduced SamaSource to the Tibetan community in Dharamsala. SamaSource is a non-profit based in San Francisco that works to bring simple, computer-based work to women, refugees, and youth in developing countries. Built on Respect became a service partner for SamaSource, set up a location, procured computers, trained workers, and hired a local manager to run the program. Minx has also presented the program as a model to the Tibetan Government-in-exile in hopes that the program will expand to all 35 of the Tibetan communities in exile in India to address unemployment and attrition issues.
